How beautiful is this lockdown wedding?! I was so excited to receive these images, and you can really see from the photos how much it meant to Sophie and Jack to be able to get married after so much uncertainty (thank you COVID-19!). It may not have been exactly the day they had originally planned, but it still looks incredible.
Sophie and Jack got engaged in the summer of 2019; they had booked into a hotel in Folkestone for a night away, and wandered out on to the Folkestone Harbour Arm to look at the view, where Jack got down on one knee and popped the question. When asked about their wedding, Sophie said, ‘We changed our plans due to lockdown but couldn’t have been happier with the wedding we had! It was relaxed and had our favourite things including flowers, cake and balloons!’
The walk down the aisle with her dad was the most memorable part of the day for Sophie, as they were unsure whether it would be permitted with the restrictions imposed by COVID-19; she said she felt ‘complete happiness’!
Sophie and Jack obviously had to make big changes to their day, and they say to ‘do whatever makes you happy as a couple, go with whatever feels right and don’t be afraid to change things!’ which, at the moment, is incredibly apt advice.
They also want to acknowledge how amazing their suppliers were, and how grateful they are for all of their hard work; ‘our wedding was made even more special because of them!’
This is the perfect example of how a small, intimate wedding can be so incredibly beautiful, special and memorable.
Congratulations Sophie and Jack, and thank you for letting me feature your lockdown wedding!
