This beautiful Regency-inspired shoot by Gwenda at Bohotanical creates the perfect, intimate wedding set at the Grade II Listed Georgian country house, Sprivers Mansion; you could almost imagine Jane Austen walking the delightful gardens, or sitting down to dine with you at the cosy but formal wedding breakfast. The autumnal colours and textures in the florals of the bouquet and the gardens immediately create a sense of warmth that continues indoors with the pastel-coloured candles, floral displays and seasonally-decorated stationery set designed by The Amyverse.
The bespoke dress by Karen Dornellie is ideal for the Regency era, with its empire line and elegantly dropped shoulders; the rich burgundy colour underlying the delicate Chantilly lace layer, tying in with the colour scheme beautifully. I particularly love the stunning detachable cape, made from burgundy chiffon and ivory tulle, as it adds such a sense of drama to the shoot. Complementing the dress are the intricate and delicate shoes by Diane Hassall. The crochet shawl by Margo Lane is ideal for a short walk in the garden during the autumn months.
The tableware was provided courtesy of Harriet’s Table, with the alcoholic favour bottles from Wild Spirits of Kent. The Artisan Cake Kitchen created the semi-naked cake which took centre-stage on the table.
Kat Forsyth Photography captured the day and the details beautifully, and the whole team produced some stunning images that are sure to provide period drama lovers and Jane Austen fans with plenty of seasonal wedding inspiration!
