This sophisticated bridal shoot oozes style and chic elegance. Inspired by ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, Ruth Donoghue-Evans of Mini Fleur wanted to create a shoot full of charm and romance; ‘The look was timeless… with the idea that a bride can be a style icon on her wedding day.’
The flowers really are everything in this shoot; the simple and crisp white and green colour scheme is striking, especially against the warm tones of the wood-panelled halls of Lympne Castle. Ruth used an extensive mix of flowers in the displays and bouquet, including roses, tulips, hyacinth, paperwhites, freesias and genestia set of against scented eucalyptus, which all added texture and further tone to the shoot. The candles scattered intermittently instantly created a romantic mood and delicately completely the look.
The make-up on model Emily was subtle with a contrasting bold red lip which added a touch of drama. This, teamed with Emily’s dark hair cascading down one shoulder, created a gentle nod to the underlying theme of Hollywood glamour.
Victoria’s bridal boutique provided the fantastic dresses that looked utterly gorgeous on Emily, especially the dress with the show-stopping train… wow! (Check out the last image below.)
The Cake Junction created an incredible tiered cake complete with extravagant ruffles and a raised top tier for an extra ‘wow’ factor. The cake was complemented by the white ruffle hoods used on the chairs by Bows Chair Covers; these chiffon hoods are delicate and romantic and are a delightful alternative to using sashes on chairs.
Jeff Oliver Photography captured the team’s hard work on the day and the terrific images below. Have a look through them all; they’re just gorgeous, and they prove that even a simple colour scheme can create an incredible atmosphere.
