Wow! There is so much colour in this shoot; it is a true feast for the eyes. What a way to make sure your day stands out from the rest! Another fabulous shoot from the My Wedding Professionals team, who decided to ‘inject some serious colour into your wedding plans’.
Here’s what they had to say about this bold and vibrant shoot: ‘Teaming gorgeous wedding dresses from Victoria’s Bridal Boutique with neon pink shoes and underskirt was an easy and stunning way to add a splash of colour. Vicky can get shoes dyed in a whole range of colours, you just have to pick which one!
The beautiful backdrop of Nettlestead Place, provided the perfect backdrop for our vibrant and eye-catching, fluorescent styled shoot.
Jeff Oliver Photography said, “The classic way to inject a bit of colour into your wedding photos is with your flowers and bridesmaid’s dresses, but we wanted more. With this shoot we decided to go for something daring…. smoke bombs! We not only love the splash of colour this adds, but also the romantic way the smoke billows around the couple creating a dramatic look. We also used a brightly painted backdrop, which combines the neon colours and geometric shapes. Being so bold, it makes a great backdrop to our photos but it would also make the perfect DIY photo booth back ground”.
RKW Hair stylist said, “For me, neon is all about making a statement and standing out so I felt the bridal hair needed to have that wow factor. To pack a punch, I went for a retro feel and added texture into the hair. Incorporating neon accessories into your hair can add a punch of colour to your outfit which can match neon scarves, belts, bags and even statement necklaces. If you want to stand out, don’t be frightened to go bold”.
Elizabeth, makeup artist said, “Bright colours like hot pink, warm orange and sunny yellow declare summer is coming. With my creative energy flowing, I blended soft pink & orange eyeshadows. To enhance and intensify, and for a pop of colour, I added a multi-coloured neon eyeliner, just above the lash line. I decided on a transitional ombre lip using bright pinks and oranges for that extra modern va va voom”.
ByBlossom Stationery said, “We wanted the stationery to be bright, cheery and yet still feminine and elegant, so I chose the delicate gypsophila flower as a graphic device, paired with a pretty and elegant typeface. The playful theme continues through all the stationery elements, from the invitation to the ‘let’s eat’ menu and place name tags. And to stand out from the other invites, this set would look great stacked and tied with the brightest of pink ribbon”.
Sharon’s Cake Couture said, “Currently trending are rainbow roses and the fabulous drip cakes. For this shoot I dared to be bold and crafted neon roses that are completely edible and even glow in the dark. I then dripped coloured icing down the cake. Each layer was a different colour but I kept the same colours used on the roses. Topped with a rainbow neon ‘bleeding heart’, I named the cake, Bleeding love.”
Flowers by Wild Ideas Flowers add even more colour and brightness. Using bright orange and lime greens, the bridal bouquet held its own against the neon back drop and accessories.
Flutterbee Me said, “Finding neon sweets to match our theme was surprisingly tricky. Never one to be deterred, I embraced the challenge! I used crystal sugar canes which come in a variety of striking colours and flavours. It is actually a multipurpose product, as it’s doubles as a table favour or a yummy edible drink”.
And on the subject of drink, Bottle Bazaar created the perfect label to personalise your wine to the neon theme.
Used correctly, neon, attention-grabbing colours will attract, engage, and inspire your guests. So why don’t you consider adding a splash of neon, flaming orange, dazzling pink, citron yellow, lime green, into your wedding theme!’
