A Waterside Wedding at Bewl Water

Photographed by John Knight | Bride walking by reeds next to water

When I was asked by Bewl Water to plan a styled shoot to showcase their Boat House Bistro restaurant, I knew exactly what I wanted to do; two different set-ups with two different couples. One look was soft, with pale pink table runners, ivory bird cages and ivory roses; the second look was more striking, with dark blue table runners, silver candelabra and crystals scattered generously on the tables. There was also a ceremony set-up, with the aisle lined with lanterns and petals, leading up to the custom-made backdrop, draped in flowers along the top.

Baking Beautiful supplied the beautiful and elegant tiered white cake, which added a touch of glamour to the shoot, whilst Photographed by John Knight captured the day on camera.

The venue overlooks the reservoir, and is also surrounded by woodland areas, all of which provide the perfect natural backdrop for photographs of the newly-married couple. There is also now the option to have the ceremony at the waters edge, in a purpose-built gazebo, with the drinks reception taking place on the lawns, and the meal being held in the Boat House Bistro.
